Independent study is for the artist who wants lots of open studio time. The studio is available for independent work five days a week, as well as the regular open studio time during the weekend. There is no structured instruction time in this class, so previous experience in clay is necessary.
An Independent Study session offers open studio Monday through Friday from 12:30-6 pm and 1-6 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The cost of the 8 week class is $145, which includes studio access, use of studio equipment and tools, and shelf space. Clay must be bought from the studio at $2/lb for stoneware, and this price includes the cost of glazes and firing.
