Evening Classes

Beginning Wheelthrowing classes are held on either Monday and Wednesday. Intermediate and Advanced Wheelthrowing classes take place on Tuesday and Thursday. Handbuilding meets on Fridays. All these classes meet 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm, and cost $280 each (which includes up to100 lbs. of clay).

Future offerings may include visiting artists; hand-building workshops; and firing, glazing, and decorative techniques.

Beginning Wheelthrowing

The beginning wheelthrowing class meets once a week and teaches basic wheelthrowing techniques for students new to clay. The focus of the class is on simple shapes including cylinders, bowls and plates. Clay can be messy, so students are encouraged to dress appropriately. Students also have the opportunity to come to our open studio hours from 1-6PM Saturdays and Sundays.  The cost of the class is $280 per 8 week session and includes the class, clay, glazes, firing, shelf space, and open studio time on the weekends.

Intermediate and Advanced Wheelthrowing

This class meets once a week and is for people who want to refine their technique. We will focus on more complex vessel shapes as well as some decorative surface treatments. Students also have the opportunity to come to our open studio hours from 1-6PM Saturdays and Sundays. Previous clay experience is necessary.  The cost of the class is $280 per 8 week session and includes the class, clay, glazes, firing, shelf space, and open studio time on the weekends.

Handbuilding

The handbuilding class meets once a week and explores various handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab work and others. This course is open to students of all experience levels. Students also have the opportunity to come to our open studio hours from 1-6PM Saturdays and Sundays.  The cost of the class is $280 per 8 week session and includes the class, clay, glazes, firing, shelf space, and open studio time on the weekends.
